Hiking routes from Cala Lanuza Suites

Enjoying a peaceful holiday surrounded by nature is one of those plans you can spend the whole year dreaming about. Waking up in the morning not to the noise of traffic, but to the sound of the sea, and having your coffee overlooking the beach, is the kind of experience that draws people to the Alicante coast. Beyond the summer season, when swimming is not always the main activity, Alicante still offers a wide range of things to do, including hiking.

At Cala Lanuza Suites you can enjoy all of this and more. We are a boutique aparthotel ideally located in a small cove in El Campello, on the Alicante coastline. We combine the comfort of a beachfront hotel with the homely atmosphere of a residential complex, always connected to the surrounding Mediterranean landscape. In addition, we are perfectly situated for exploring the province without long journeys. That is why today we bring you several hiking routes from Cala Lanuza Suites, so you can enjoy your holiday walking through nature and relaxing by the sea.

Easy routes around El Campello

Without travelling far from our facilities or the centre of El Campello, there are several very easy routes you can enjoy. One example is the Les Puntes de Gosàlvez route. It is around 6 km long and can easily be completed in just over an hour. The route is not particularly demanding and includes many small paths to explore. There are several points of interest along the way, such as the caseta del caçadors, from where you can enjoy views across the entire coastline. The main objective is to reach the watchtower that gives the route its name, Les Puntes de Gosàlvez.

The historic Torre de Reixes can be visited from the outside and involves a fairly easy walk with little elevation gain and lovely views of the sea. It is only about 2.5 kilometres, ending at an old 16th-century watchtower. Another simple hiking option is to walk along the entire coastline of El Campello, from Muchavista Beach to La Almadraba Beach. At around 6 km, it is perfect for sunrise or sunset walks. Points of interest along the way include Rincón de Zofra, the seafront promenade, the Torre Vigía de la Illeta, Illeta dels Banys, and the Voramar de les Escultures promenade.

Other hiking routes from Cala Lanuza Suites

One of the most recommended hiking routes from Cala Lanuza Suites is Cabeçó d’Or, a mountain range that stretches across the municipalities of Busot, Aigües, Relleu and Jijona, with a summit reaching 1,200 metres above sea level. The route takes around four hours and includes sections with significant elevation gain, although its overall difficulty is considered moderate. Its most famous attraction is the Canelobre Caves, a vast cavern filled with stalactites and stalagmites. It is an impressive and colourful cave that is often used for concerts due to its remarkable acoustics. Other points of interest include Esquenall de la Horadada and the town of Busot. This route also includes rest areas and sections equipped with via ferrata.

If you feel like taking on a challenge, you can also walk along the Mediterranean coastline from El Campello to Villajoyosa. It is not technically difficult, but it is a long route (around seven hours), so good orientation is important. The reward is the opportunity to discover and enjoy a long stretch of the Valencian coastline on foot.

With these hiking trails from Lanuza Cove Suites, you can enjoy a holiday fully connected with nature. Our suites are so welcoming that even after a long day exploring the Valencian landscapes, you will feel completely at home when you return.
